@bloor Luckily I have never anyone I care about pronounce it "sequel". I call it S-Q-L and I will die on that hill.

I've always pronounced it My-Ess-Kew-Ell.
But equally I've always pronounced DNS as Dee-Enn-Ess.
In other words not MySequel and Dennis.

It's not. Sequel was a predecessor of SQL.Pronouncing SQL "sequel" is like pronouncing Windows "DOS".
