Every morning we have these negotiations with Karvinen. I'm standing there and trying to get my clothes on, as he's demanding something. Not pictured: Him trying to climb me as I was standing there in just the shirt.

I bet he thinks this is just what we do in the mornings. A part of the daily routine. Depending on his restlessness levels he's either doing crime while yelling for me to feed him, or trying to scamper onto my shoulder, or just making sure I know he exists and that he absolutely must lick my forearms and neck. In any case, usually it makes the process of getting dressed that much delayed...

@sinituulia I honestly don't know how anyone puts up with cats.
There is a.local cat who visits sometimes (demands food) and it immediately tries to take over my house, like a one-cat invading army. -

It does also satisfy several in-built (into me at least) imperatives to take care of something small and warm and alive! 😄

He’s a beauty by the way.@Pinchy63 I had very little to do with it, but thank you! He is quite cute, striking and/or beautiful most days! I've seen him every day for some ten years now and I still stop to stare at him sometimes

I’m probably only about 3-4 hours north of you, still in New England, but just a little colder on average. When our panels get covered in snow, they tend to stay that way. 😭Still, we save thousands of dollars a year in energy costs. We burn no fuel oil, no natural gas, no propane, and one of our current cars is fully electric*. The panels paid for themselves and then some within seven years.
*We will probably have to go back to having a hybrid, for reasons

@marcoarment Holy crap. I haven’t received any email, but I’m subscribed through Apple (with a v7 migration discount they offered a couple years ago), so I checked my subscription status… +125% increase in my case/currency.
Thanks for the heads up, now I have a couple months to evaluate alternatives!
