@jalefkowit @mathowie
I remember the closing lines of the NYT piece on the same subject:At the end of the interview, [Benioff] turned to a public relations executive. He could be heard asking why her mouth was wide open and if he had said anything he shouldn’t have.
“What about the political questions?” he asked. “Too spicy?”
Then he hung up.
They really live in a different reality -- where all the tragedy they're causing is just part of some sports-event or something. Reality TV.

@mathowie Every time I hear our upper management talk about doing things in Salesforce, it makes me want to gag. It’s software for douchebags, by douchebags.

TL:DR; The Salesforce CEO at a company's annual all hands gathering asked international employees to please rise in the audience, then made a "joke" that ICE agents were in the back of the room ready to nab them.

@mathowie I'm not surprised at all I did a training for a nonprofit that worked with Salesforce and the white cis het guy in the training from Salesforce was always making the worst comments to a room full of Black, Brown, Immigrant, Trans & Queer folks (and some of us belonging to multiple of those community) while inside of an NPO office that focused on immigration & that was in 2016.

@adr I recently learned Benioff worked for Larry Ellison at Oracle for years before starting Salesforce and things begin to track after that

@mathowie What a STUPID man also. I'd not be an investor that's for sure. There's something horribly mentally wrong with him.

@mathowie
It's not about a monster showing its face.
It's that it gets away with it. 😡 ...being a monster. -

@mathowie@xoxo.zone Anyone who still uses Salesforce today and is unaware of who is being supported by it has lost all moral conscience!

@mathowie It's time Billionaireism was classified as a form of psychopathology characterised by an obsessive need to accumulate more wealth than any one person could enjoy or even consume in a lifetime, together with a failure of empathetic connection to one's fellow human beings.

@mathowie Now I know how to open my International Business class today. 🤦♀️ At least one good thing about these times: the bad examples are plenty, to the point that it feels like the curriculum writes itself.
