For fuck's sake. Two new tumours where the sarcoma was removed last year. It does not look good. If I get a clean scan of my lungs, I'll end up with a prosthetic bone in my leg or worse. Anything to be able to watch the little one grow up though.. #screamingIntoTheVoid #cancer

My oh my I can't believe my eyes. The 9th time was the charm!!! 🥳
(I had been struggling with this since Friday, so I'm a little in disbelief) ☺️
And so that there are no misunderstandings: YunoHost is WONDERFUL. I struggled with this particular installation (first time ever) because there isn't an available guide. I will be writing to my YH contacts offering to create such a guide for newbies.
Two crucial things needed to happen (I got advice about the first and lucked out with the second... lots of A/B testing):
1) When you install Sharkey with YunoHost you need to set the initial permissions to "All visitors" (I had it set to Admin only and that's why my instance looked broken).
2) Sharkey has two passwords in the account setup screen. The only combo that worked for me was keeping the first field empty and then using my YunoHost admin's password for the second. The username could be anything, didn't have to be like the YH admin. I'll be changing this stat though, for security reasons.
Voilà. And sorry but need to rush off and set up my profile - yay!

What is the current status of private messaging?
We have all the commercial options, none of them are actually private.
We have Signal, which still basically requires a smart phone or a LOT of careful manipulation.
And we have Matrix, which is just horrible on just oh so many levels. No, I do not want to have a discussion about why you think Matrix is awesome.
Have I heard whispers about something else people have been standing up? Or did I dream this?
