@Gina it's a Ziggo Dome vs Paradiso kind of thing

@openrisk Lol that might be a good comparison. Mastodon feels more relaxed.

@Gina Same for me, but for me I know that it's because a lot of the people I follow post more current news etc than here. Which I appreciate being able to find (post Twitter), but also... stressful - so I log out of Bluesky when I don't have enough capacity to read... and that's after heavy permanent filtering.

@samantha42 @Gina It's definitely the perpetual outrage-sharing for me. There it's "all the screaming, all the time". Just like the site it replaced. ๐ฌ
Took me a week to realise I needed to ditch the Bluesky app, even with extensive filtering, and now just use mobile web every week or so.
Whereas here, daily (or more frequent) visits are usually much calmer and emotionally stable. Also with extensive filtering.

@jumile @samantha42 this! There's politics on Mastodon as well, which is good at times, but a lot of it is instance specific or hidden behind CW's.

@Gina @samantha42 Agree. The near total absence of hashtags and CWs on Bluesky drives me nuts. More than I thought a few years here would justify. ๐
Not only do those people not care about whether their shouting-at-clouds can be seen or found, they don't care if anyone *really* doesn't want to see or find it. ๐
Worse, I think the majority doing it are ignorant of the impacts and options. They don't know what they don't know.

@Gina
I thought for a moment there that you were referring to the recent sighting of sunshine over Amsterdam.
