look, I'm not saying all libertarians are bad, just the vast majority of them.
Many (most) Libertarians don't actually understand Libertarianism. Here in the US it has morphed into 'personal responsibility (unless I personally need a government handout), guns, and I get to do anything I want and no one can stop me'.
Which is *far* from the original ideals of 'non coercion' and 'non aggression'. Forex, the principle of 'swing your arms any way you want, so long as you don't hit anyone else', LITERALLY means 'do not pollute' and 'do not play your music loud'.

It's a philosophy embraced by people that have never worked a day in their life.

@codinghorror The ideology finds its most adherents in US whose elites were historically plutocrats not military types as in Europe. Libertarinism is the perfect ideology for them, so they push it via their channels. Outsiders were baffled after 2008 crisis libertarinism (you needed purer capitalism bro) was not discredited in US along with the rest of the right-wing ideologies, imo this is why.
