    I guess we are all set for tomorrow's un-workshop on Growing the Open Social Web.It's a bit of experiment. Un-conferences are bad enough :-) and now we are doing an un-workshop! We'll try and marry the high-intensity peer conversations of an unconference with the well-thought-out proposals of a workshop. We need both to make tangible progress on plans for how to grow. In theory, that should work out just fine. In practice: we'll find out!1/2

    @justmichelle @kerravonsen @knitting @crochet @crafters They don't think. PIcking the pattern. Deciding on the colors. Shopping for the yarn/fabric/whatever medium you use. Planning the design if multiple colors are involved. Layout. Execution. More execution. And more. I quilt. A lady offered me $80 for a custom twin size piece. I laughed in her face. I spent more than that on the FABRIC. They're so used to cheap crap they can't think clearly.

    Can any of you make these animal hug socks? I don't know how much time it would take, or the cost of materials and the pattern, but they are really popular all of a sudden. I think they would look so cute to wear around the house. I've seen them in sloth, rabbit, panda, red tailed panda, koala, axolotl, bunny, bat, cow, dinosaur, raccoon, and tiger.I would happily purchase these from an independent small business knitter. I would NOT buy them from a big company. (They won't be as nice as the picture anyway.)Edited to say that it did not occur to me, but the image could certainly be A.I. generated in order to trick the consumer into buying an inferior product.
