I've been working on a #Luanti demo mode, try out selected games with a single click

@rubenwardy Unfortunately „demo“ is often connected to incomplete or runtime-limited or otherwise truncated paid software for people to try out for free, though. Maybe “Luanti showcase” or „Discover Luanti games“ would be a better title?

Yeah, I like the sound of showcase

@rubenwardy I like the idea of this! Imagine a showcase like this available on the Luanti website, so people can try out Luanti games before getting the full engine. (I think there is a web version of Luanti?)

@thealexstewart @rubenwardy There absolutely is a web version (doing exactly that). It’s limited (you cannot save the game) but runs reasonably well.
You can start every game from the CDB and it even has localization, and support for running a server with every game or joining a server.
But I guess the described demo mode is directly implemented into the client and meant to show Luanti games off at events.
