#askfedi is there some explainer for teaching people how to use Pirate Bay-type resources? Like real not-for-programmers stuff. People who have never *heard* of the command line. What you need, step by step instructions?

since someone is assuredly going to say "but steam flatpak doesn't work with nvidia drivers" or something, i will point out that i am using an AMD card and none of these proprietary drivers work on alpine anyway

this is mostly because:
- i don't want to deal with multiple game launcher apps
- i can install steam on alpine through flatpak
- steam makes basically all windows games that i care about "just work" on my machine through proton

honestly at this point, i am of the opinion that your game just does not exist if you are a non-indie studio and it is not on steam

blizzard does not have warcraft 3 reforged on steam... incredible
