Fuck, I have to change my opinion on leaf blowers.

@0x00string @wackJackle Any potential value in tennis rackets behind the shield wall?
@deFractal @0x00string I like how you think! ✊

@wackJackle @deFractal for the grenades? good way to break your wrist or have the racket become more of a hazard.
look up what a 40mm grenade launcher looks like, the grenades go like 80m/s. stay out of their trajectory and wait for them to land then neutralize them. its not an action movie.

@0x00string @wackJackle Oh, I was thinking thrown, not launched. Didn't know they were using launchers. I missed that when I read your reply the first time.

@deFractal @wackJackle they, its extremely horrifying

@nellie_m @seekingfreedom @Infrogmation @cryptica @sennoma That isn't MY AI generated 'misinformation'. I just quoted it. You're barking up the wrong tree.
I've linked the real information on how to act in the original post.
So what's your fucking problem?
(and I have admitted that the picture is AI; that the usage of leaf blowers was real in Portland 2020 and there is a video of it in the comments.)
@wackJackle @seekingfreedom @Infrogmation @cryptica @sennoma
You didn’t answer my question.
And after all the comments you got on posting AI slop as an eye-catcher, you still don’t see it fit to edit your original post to add that it’s AI generated slop.
I don’t want any of your misinformation and immature comments on my timeline again. Blocking now.

@deFractal @wackJackle they, its extremely horrifying
@deFractal @wackJackle its really real shit out there, spend some time looking up riot munitions and 40mm gas grenades and that kind of thing that the cops use... its... its real scary you need to do real teamwork and the kind of shit that if you give up and get scared when they challenge you it all falls apart. you have to be willing to make a shield wall and defend it when they fire 10000 paintballs filled with capsaicin dust and flash grenades and teargas at you. its real shit.

@wackJackle battery powered leaf blowers do exist

@nellie_m @seekingfreedom @Infrogmation @cryptica @sennoma I don't have to. That's always the responsibility of the people involved. Why do I have to explain this? That's the most obvious argument everybody has to live by.
I just made a comment on the internet with no instruction to do anything at all.
You're making up a straw man and you're argueing against it but it has nothgin to do with my post or with me.

@0x00string @deFractal Again, thank you for being the real hero in this thread!

@0x00string @deFractal Again, thank you for being the real hero in this thread!
@wackJackle @deFractal honestly, thank you for even listening. people should know the risks out there, they are real, people pay prices. i want everyone safe, even if they have to do dangerous things.

@wackJackle
leaf blower person should operate behind a front line, behind a shield wall, behind a phalanx, because if the cops see that they will want to fuck that person up immediately, so there needs to be group solidarity and organization to protect them from that and prevent them from being an option target, their job should be to stay back and wait for lobs in, then assist whoever runs up to neutralize or yeet the grenade to help keep the gas away while they work, also to blow gas away from the front lines from behind it, the leaf blower guy should never be exposed they are a big prime target. there are lots of videos from HK protests where this and other good anti gas tactics were deployed and they should be remembered and diffused again!@0x00string @wackJackle also, don't be the Gestapo dipshits. T-shirt, body armor, sweatshirt, jacket, flak vest.
Corrugated polycarbonate is available at Home Despot and Lowes. Twin wall is also fairly solid. It'll be in roofing. 60 degree drill bit is best for working on it. (Pay cash.)
Harbor Freight often has tarps AND leaf blowers on sale. It's a good leaf blower. The tarps are adequate and $80 for the giant heavy duty 9mil, basic blue 4mil 5.5' x 7.5' blue is $3.50, 7.5' x 9.5' is $4. -

have a GOOD respirator and if it has a face cover make sure its REAL SHIT shatter proof otherwise its literally more dangerous to wear than not.
there is so much good advice, i really should keep a list of links.
just... find competent people doing real shit, follow advice, observe, learn, adapt. research!

@nellie_m @seekingfreedom @Infrogmation @cryptica @sennoma And yes, it's an AI picture. Everybody can scroll down to see me admitting to it.
I don't put it in the original post because of people like you. You don't think about this real method, how it was used or how it can be used.
You just don't like AI and I get it, because I also don't like AI but the message can be more important.
Your moral no-AI essentialism doesn't bother me. I seriously don't fucking care.
Have a nice day!

@rootwyrm @wackJackle KNOW that the cops WANT to maim you, they want to torture you with gas and induce abortions over the air with it if youre pregnant. they want to shoot off fingers and castrate people with projectiles, they want to beat the shit off you in dogpiles. they want to do these things, they talk about it on the way there and during, they laugh, they get paid extra, they straight up 100% enjoy it all very much. there is no conscience in the pig to appeal to.
-
@Su_G @wackJackle most important things are be safe and build solidarity, if you do those you can learn the rest on the job

@wackJackle electric/battery work fine, too.

@rootwyrm @wackJackle also i feel like this is important and worth saying for anyone who is planning to attend a protest: if the cops charge, if things fall apart, walk dont run and do not panic - the cops try on purpose to induce a panic and make people trample eachother instead of surrendering a space and dispersing calmly. stay calm. and finally: if the cops start lobbing real shit, like 80m/s 40mm grenades, or pepperballs, or rubber bullets or baton rounds whatever... and you dont KNOW what to do... get to cover, you are not invincible, those projectiles will maim or kill you, the cops want to take your eyes and brag about succeeding at it, do not imagine yourself a hero - get to cover regroup reassess.

@0x00string @wackJackle at this point, I only recommend 3M full face 600 series with the P100 multi-layers. Especially since they're intentionally using stuff that isn't N95 covered. Full face only, and if you wear glasses, you need the glasses adapter kit. Not cheap, but completely rebuildable no matter the damage.

@rootwyrm @wackJackle im noting this, thank you! i personally know that my respirators would get me blinded and disfigured if i took damage in them, i leave them at home, i leave glasses at home too because i dont trust that they wouldnt also become blinding confetti

@0x00string @wackJackle the 3M stuff I recommend is designed to protect your face including glasses without injury. But you MUST get the glasses kit to ensure the seal fits correctly. This gear is for most people, very prohibitively expensive.
