I joined the Interesting People list 30 years ago and was kept up to date with important news for a long time - sad to hear of Dave’s passing.

@dangillmor The IP list has been part of my on-line life for as long as I remember, and attending the on-line meetings such a privilege as well.

I never met Dave Farber in person but am so sad he's gone.

David's grounded perspective and the deeply insightful contributions by its knowledgeable community of its participants has been foundational in my understanding of the Internet and its technologies as they've evolved. He truly was the Grandfather of the Internet. RIP David.

@dangillmor Och no. Very sad news. I was lucky enough to be a watcher on the IP list for many years and loved the thoughtful contributions. If that was all he did, it would’ve been plenty. But of course he did so much more.
