@dillyd I don't have a picture, but I have an anecdote. I saw a bee of some kind - not fuzzy, little bit of junk in the trunk, midsized - on the sidewalk with its head down, moving its booty like it was struggling. Thinking it might need some sugar water to revive it, I poured a little soda near it on the sidewalk. The bee got up and walked away from the soda (good choice), then put its head down and started booty dancing again. I hope it got whatever it needed. ❤️

A large green preying mantis landed on my right ankle while I was on a walk at the Buddhist BIPOC retreat in Guelph last weekend. It was a couple of inches long and the largest preying mantis I have ever seen.

I got it onto a piece of wood and got an excellent look at its exquisitely beautiful eyes. We walked for a few steps before it seemed to be trying to get closer to a set of vines nearby by waving its arms in that direction. I let it climb onto the leaves and bid it goodbye.
