I forgor to post this because my Xmas was interrupted by snowstorm accident but,

Partner: you can’t fool me, those are just deer in the rain

@moss we live enough in the city that we don't see them in our yard, but we regularly go to various state parks that have them. Also, my partner's parents get a large number of turkeys in their backyard, which we see when we visit for holidays.

On top of them just being wonderful, I think “species loneliness” is real and doesn’t serve us, or our planet. I’ve found it healing to feel more connected to other life forms even in periphery or infrequent amounts, and I wish the same for you. 💜

@moss i appreciate it! I definitely feel that — it's very nice to see animals around me. We see a ton of rabbits in our neighborhood, and especially in the spring and early summer, there are tiny baby ones occasionally.

@reillypascal I love this! I have a friend who is as obsessed with her local rabbits as I am my deer and she occasionally sends me photos of them 🥹 the bunnies seem like wonderful friends!
