I had understood that, in order to free yourself from your to-do list, you have to burn it with a self-made candle in full moon standing barefoot in the woods, and then throw the ashes in a body of running water*
Just misplacing... I don't know. Doesn't feel right. It might come back to haunt you...
*(scholars seem to be still discussing whether this ritual also works for lists on digital devices or whether you'd need a more environmental-friendly way).
