@mdn I think I prefer a button. If I see that anchor link symbol (either 🔗 or #), I assume that I can click on it to copy the heading. I don't think that I would right=click on that sort of thing to copy the link, but it's good to offer as an option, I suppose.
Another thing I do sometimes is click on the heading text so that the URL in the browser's address bar changes, and then I copy that.
