@ploum a bit besides the point, but it sounds like done verbally one-on-one with students? That’d be quite unusual in both the US and the UK - the exam is always done on paper by every student at once. I think I like your approach!
@Gaelan : here in Europe, the professor can choose between written exam or oral exam.
The later doesn’t scale well but I really prefer the approach.
