-20°C, wind chill -28°C.This is one of our main cycling and walking routes (#8) and here we have a 5 km stretch with ZERO at-grade crossings with motor traffic. I repeat, it's physically impossible to meet any motor traffic here. So it is very peaceful, safe and comfortable to ride and walk completely uninterrupted. Just bliss.

My love of snow and ice grows as I get older. I used to get frustrated by the inconvenience and discomfort that can come with it, but when you accept winter's rules and work on it's terms it's an opportunity for a lot of pleasantness, joy and coziness.

@tg9541 Wondering that too. Poor fella might have been damaged and or stolen, and abandoned, and/or maybe set aside by the snow plow driver. Still seems mostly bicycle-shaped though. No idea 🤷

@pekkatahkola This looks absolutely magical, like something straight out of a winter fairy tale. totally brings me back to growing up in Canada in this kind of deep‑freeze glow.
I love it, but I can’t stop thinking that biking on what looks like a frozen sugar glaze has to be way more dangerous than these calm photos suggest 😲

@inVinnieVeritas It's absolutely magically wonderful! And I'm sure you know _snow_ isn't really slippery. Especially cold snow isn't. Ice and wet ice are. And we've got great maintenance here, so basically you could even ride this with slick racing tires 👌 It also makes a huge difference as we don't allow cars on the same surface to destroy the grip and polish the snow into slippery ice.

A true Canadian icon just passed away.
Catherine O’Hara wasn’t just an incredible comedienne. She was a great ambassador for Canadian culture, writing and starring in such classics as SCTV and Schitt’s Creek.
And her work in film is extraordinary. Memorable rules in Beetlejuice, Home Alone, and Best in Show.
She will be missed.

We originally printed vol. 1 without it on the cover, too. It only got added when we reprinted. Vol. 2 got printed shortly after the first Vol. 1 printing, and so we wanted it to look like the first print of Vol. 1. People started asking which book was which, so we added it to the front for every subsequent printing. Volume 4 backers got some of the very last copies of that original Vol. 2 print run.
