We got a tough guy. Historically tough guys do not fare well, but this one seems to have visited the woods unlike most of the previous tough guys.

We've got a lost ferro rod situation. There has never been a winner without a ferro rod. I can't tell if this is Keith or Shawn, but he's gonna be out real soon now.

It's Shawn, and he's out immediately. He had quite the spiel about being a master outdoorsman. He's some kind of survival influencer/YouTuber, I think, and he gave himself nicknames like Shawn With The Wild and Thor of the Forest or something like that. Which makes this an enjoyable bit of Schadenfreude.

I love it when they say something is probably a mistake and then do it anyway. Callie is following a pack of wolves.

They keep turning their backs on fish to chase large mammals. I guess the winner last season successfully hunting a moose made everybody believe that's the way do go. They're catching 10+ pound fish, and yet, dropping everything to worry over a moose in the distance or musk ox sign.
Amos understands the assignment, though. He's got ten+ pounds of smoked fish stockpiled.

Smoothie Bikes Turned Into Game Controllers
Smoothie bikes are a great way to make a nutritious beverage while getting a workout at the same time. [Tony Goacher] was approached by a local college, though, which had a problem with this technology. Namely, that students were using them and leaving them filthy. They posed a simple question—could these bikes become something else?
[Tony’s] solution was simple—the bikes would be turned into game controllers. This was easily achieved by fitting a bi-color disc into the blender assembly. As the wheel on the bike turns, it spins up the blender, with the disc inside. An ESP32 microcontroller paired with a light sensor is then able to count pulses as the disc spins, getting a readout of the blender’s current RPM. Working backwards, this can then be calculated out into the bike’s simulated road speed and used to play a basic game on an attached Raspberry Pi. Notably, the rig is setup such that the Raspberry Pi and one bike connect to an access point hosted by the other bike. This is helpful, because it means neither bike has too many dangling cables that could get caught up in a wheel or chain.

@oblomov @las_lallero invece l'articolo parla di estoni, che percepiscono la propria identità invasa e sopraffatta, perché qualcuno attribuisce la nascita nell'Unione Sovietica (e insomma hanno pure ragione, anche se storicamente chissà , ma nella realtà niente è semplice e non ci sono sempre risposte nette, non esistono definizioni per chi è nato a metà , i "bastardi", i "mezzosague", i creoli, e alla fine bisognerebbe deporre tutte le armi, anche quelle non fisiche, ma come si fa?)
