Coworkers found out my neighborhood doesn’t have an HOA, and they’re baffled. “What do you do when someone has like a yard full of weeds or a car on blocks or something?”
I mean, mostly mind my own business? If it actually impacts me, go talk with them like an adult and offer my help?

I worry about the number of people whose solution to conflict is “immediate appeal to authority”. And even more about people whose answer to the government saying “no, dawg, that’s not our job” is to make a new, smaller, less-accountable paragovernment.
