Years ago I read a book that had a scene about a man cursed to become a rat. Who hid his features for the comfort of others. Even going as far as tying his tail around his waist.
In the scene the man would untie his tail and reminisce about how nice it feels to allow it to slide over the cobblestones when nobody could see it.
I've long forgotten the title of the book, but it stuck with me, so I made FanArt. Maybe somebody else might know what book I'm talking about.

@Butterflymolt damn now I'm curious about this book. Was it a written novel or a graphic novel? Have you tried asking the Fediverse, maybe somebody knows?

@josgeluk @tokensane
@rania_papasozomenouThis blew up more than I expected.
And I've done some thinking, trying to drum up the details of the book and trying to look up books with tropes matching it.And I think it's probably one of the books of the Septimus Heap series.

@Butterflymolt @josgeluk @tokensane @rania_papasozomenou I had some luck finding a story I was looking for using the TipOfMyTongue / TOMT hashtag and self-boosting. It did take some time though (it has to fall under the right eyes)
