My neighbour is a nurse in her early 60s.
She has daily problems with her android smartphone and modern tech in general.
I'm in my late 20s.
I try to help her out, as far as my knowledge and sperimentations with devices go...but sometimes it's hard. Even though I should be a "digital native", even though I often watch tech tutorials and try to learn from them.
Big tech loves to make even "expert and experienced" people go crazy.

@anominominominous yeah. All they’re doing now is constantly tweaking everything, to perform “innovation” that just forces us to constantly relearn every interface

I've also been using Nextcloud in the last year and it does everything I need. I think it could be worth trying.
As a server/application manager I've heard of Yunohost. It looks interesting but I've never used it.
