The last spam e-mail I've just received. This is funny:
"Hi
I came across Illumos Cafe online and wanted to reach out because we're working with other communities that are offering operating systems."
...ok...
"I’m currently working with a few communities on campaigns that are getting their sales teams meetings with warm leads every month. We’re targeting people who need operating systems using personalized email sequences. "
...WHAT???...
"If I could help you connect with potential clients like this, would that be helpful to you?"
...WHAT????...
LLMs, at their worst...

@stefano I'm surprised it didn't send you the raw boilerplate.

@stefano LLMs are so boring. I much prefer the spam from the early 2000s when it was gibberish and random sections of classic books ("A Tale of Two Cities" and "Wuthering Heights" to be specific) intersecting with each other.
It was at the very least creative and highly entertaining. It also demonstrated someone had thoroughly *too much* time on their hands. 🤣

@peteorrall sure. It was much more entertaining. Like when they used to send links to buy Viagra or Cialias "discounted" 😆

@stefano I like the illusion that Solaris is still marketed by powerful LLM salesmen.
