Suddenly, the printer I have in my house started to put a lot of stains in the paper.

Decades ago, analyzing a log, I stumbled on an IP, apparently from Telefónica in Spain, which requested strange things.
Checking the surrounding IPs I stumbled on an open LaserJet, so I printed the message "¡Cuidado! ¡Tu impresora es accesible para todos!" signing it with my e-mail.
I didn't receive replies, but the day after the printer was no more open.

@stefano Maybe you approached your printer incorrectly? Did you bring any offerings?

@stefano get a laser printer and don't look back. The biggest issue with inkjets is that you need to print regularly for them to stay healthy.
I kept buying more and more expensive injkets thinking that they would be better, but nope... they still suffer from the same issues if you're not printing at least once a week year round.
I then bought the cheapest laser printer and it's still working 12 years later.

@stefano
Ah, 7 years could hurt rubber parts.
I've experienced flooding tonors from disposed tonor bottle as of the broken sensor, thus, my previous comment.
Another example was because someone previously replaced the bottle didn't attached new one properly, thus, leaked. -
