@cwebber having just made the switch I highly recommend it. I have no regrets for buying a cintiq, but I've heard there are other much more affordable options available now. I've heard "gaomon" and "xppen" recommended recently as more affordable alternatives, though I have not used either myself (nor do I know whether or not either tends to be linux compatible)

@aeva @cwebber i bought a 21" huion kamvas four or five years ago. worked great, and was surprisingly affordable.

(dont have it anymore, because i passed it on to my brother who gets much more use out of it than i did)
