@eniko I recall being absolutely flabbergasted by someone purporting to be involved in AA game production insisting that Steam deserves that 30% cut on the sole basis of handling distribution since they had just lost a similar argument about them deserving it based on promoting games.
It doesn't matter what scale your game is operating at, you can handle distribution for far less than 30% of your revenue. -
