@sschoener @aras honestly fair call out, the strength of what I wrote is way more than what I felt!
The feeling there is more that I've been unconvinced style transfer is going to produce much interesting art, given it exists elsewhere and has seen quite limited use.

@aras Moore's Law Is Dead has a video up about this nonsense. Apparently "turning DLSS5 on" literally replaced the character model's in-game face with an Instagram model's, and it took two (2) RTX5090 graphics cards to do it at something like CAD$6000 (USD$4400) each. The future, everybody!

@aras looks like a natural progression of the thinking displayed with RTX Remix and genAI in general
it was off-putting to me even back when it was more opt-in and customizable

TEDxUdine è stato parte integrante del mio vissuto per 10 anni.
Ho dato tantissimo per costruire ogni pezzetto e quello che mi ha restituito è stato altrettanto, se non maggiore.Ho potuto ri-scoprire cose di me che erano rimaste a lungo sopite, mi ha confermato e rinforzato l'importanza dell'impegno, della costanza, della cura dei dettagli, che ogni singola cosa che sceglievo doveva portarsi dietro un significato vero e intenso.
Ora è tempo di costruire altri tempi.
