alright. with the voice allocator i was able to add a polyphonic synth. i use a small lerp filter to get rid of clicks and i also added a vibrato so the sine sound isn't too boring.
here's the source code for this piece; i linked directly to the implementation of the synth - that's the entire thing in one place. you can comment the section and it's off. try that in a systems programming language.
audio takes 0.5s to generate on my machine (1.57% cpu)
