@aeva I honestly always felt bad about hogging bandwidth on community supported servers here with them. Even being vaguely familiar now with how it actually works on mastodon it just feels greedy.

@seandick @aeva I can understand that feeling, but consider that the bandwidth is there for you to create value by posting to the servers. There's no value in the potential use of it—only in the actual use of it. People are able to socialize and interact only when you give them something to interact with! Very classic "it's free (for you) because you are the product."

- Tutti i post che menzionano account sul tuo server

In un certo senso la visualizzazione di Mastodon è quella tipica di twitter, quella di Friendica è tipica di facebook, con la differenza che l'unico algoritmo è puramente "cronologico" e non condizionato dalla presunzione preferenziale della piattaforma
