@BabaLooey From a constitutional perspective, Gore should have won. Not because he won in Florida (though he likely did), but because Florida failed to turn in its vote on time, and should have been thrown out entirely. Florida shit the bed, and oh well, if YOU fail to show up and vote on time, YOU don't get to vote, either. There's no constitutionally valid reason that Florida should have been able to hold the entire country hostage. SCOTUS flubbed that. Maybe deliberately. We might never know.
