Not the best of times. However, today I became an elected member of the Society of Wood Engravers. This has raised a smile and reminded me that I have only 10 days in which to submit my entries for the 2026 annual travelling exhibition. Pictured, engravings the SWE selected for the 2023, 4 & 5 exhibitions and a probable entry for 2026.

@quincy the bare minimum would be to not have that feature in the browser at all. That's *exactly* what plugins and extensions are for.

@bart@floss.social Spot on. The vendor lock-in is exactly what's holding me back from moving to Codeberg. It's frustrating that standard security features like OIDC publishing are becoming a golden cage that keeps us tied to big platforms. I'd love to see npm support OIDC from Forgejo/Gitea, but it feels like we're still a long way from a truly forge-agnostic ecosystem. 2FA tokens for life, I guess? 🥲

@ChieseBrutte stavo per votare la seconda (astronave aliena camuffata da chiesa), ma poi ho visto la quarta che è davvero più brutta anche della Multipla (e dovrebbe avere diritto alla copertina del calendario, amen).
