I just think there are still thousands of people in X and other platforms that are not aware of alternatives.

@mapache Just my experience: people are aware of alternatives; they just don't want to start over. Or they've tried alternatives and didn't like them because they weren't exactly like X. Oh and Mastodon is "too hard."

@mapache I do too however blue sky became very popular last fall. I think it was, and you still didn’t see all of the media move over there. You had some. I have always thought that it was for attention. I would imagine that it’s tough to close an account with 5000 followers and many more in some instances.

I follow 200 people on mastodon and it takes me a lot of time to read what they say. It is not infinite scrolling to pass time.
Because they post something to say something not to be something.
