Just got a send-money email from what purports to be an anti-rightwing-extremism organization. There is NO link to any website other than ActBlue (fundraising platform), and not a hint of who's behind it or what they'll do with the money.

I treat things like this as likely scams, and report them.

@dangillmor most of them pay extra for an url shortener, though my “if message contains ‘actblue’, reply ‘stop’” automaton runs often enough.

There are probably fundraising campaigns that direct most of the funds to the candidate and others who exploit the Democratic Party voter lists to solicit donations that mostly go into their own pockets.

I will never donate a dime to corporate Democrats who spend little to no time doing grass roots work while funneling campaign funds to ineffective, wasteful, and expensive ad campaigns and consultants.
