Took a while to track down the creator: They are "flexasaurus rex" on that other site (which I won't link to). The link on the info page points to an old, deactivated account.

@6al no. Se io ci metto 10t per trovare una risposta, il chatbot ci mette t sbagliando nel 10% dei casi e io ci metto t a verificare la risposta mi conviene usare il chatbot. @aitech

@alex the first issue should be fixed with the latest release. If you open an old post (that was not federated yet), it should default to "Do not federate". Regardless of the default, you can always set "Do not federate" even for new posts!
You can find it in the sidebar of the block editor in the "fediverse" section.
