What should have been quick took forever, and I’m not sure how I’m going to finish the bottom edge.* I’m not following a commercial pattern for this, and that’s starting to show.*not a request for help. There’s a complicated order of operations problem that I introduced by the way I inserted the hip panels. I will solve it be being a little messy.

#sewingToday I have to insert the cups. And I’m dreading it. This is just an under-layer. It’s fine. It does not have to be perfect, but my brain wants to start over.

Still a very funny object. Right side is fully sewn down and underwired, left is just clipped in. I think if I knew what I know now, I would have made a regular over-bust corset.

#sewingOnly thing left to do is bind the hem and hammer in grommets. This thing took at least three times my initial time estimate, but it is looking like a thing someone made on purpose, so that’s good.

Bones need to be bent, and the cups need to be taken in a little. I think i can do that. The body of the corset ends up contributing to that part of the fit, so I just need to compensate for that.

12 yards of organza hemmed and trimmed. Now to wipe off chalk marks and figure out the next step.

OK, the showy ruffles are ruffled, and now I have to ruffle the support ruffles. I have to figure out how much this is and go from there.
Goal is to have all the ruffles sewn to the netting by the end of the day. -

I’m assuming that other people would be faster at this.
The first four rows are sewed on, and the fifth is pinned on. The top row is three layers, every other tier is two ruffle strips, one of two layers and the other a single. I’m lining up their hems the best I can as I go.

@latsss your assumptions were wrong, my point is that the force of people if well organized and focused, can be stronger than the force of weapons and wars. This is proven by history and social sciences. These are the ideas and ideals of people opposing Putin, Trump and ALL imperialist wars. You are not obliged to share these ideas, but you should at least respect ukrainian pacifists that were prosecuted by ukranian police for their beliefs AND targeted by russian army for their nationality.

@latsss so russian babies, decent people and families of dead soldiers are "evil enemies" that must be defeated and destroyed, but corrupt ukrainians profiting from war are "good friends" helping in the battle for liberty and justice. You are free to think like this and label people with their passport, but plee respect people thinking that the best way to freedom is to unite decent people against killers and criminals, just like MLK did in the US uniting decent black AND white people.

But I assume your point was like "Ukrainian elites does not want to end the war, because that's how they make money" which IS a russian propaganda.I already said what happens when russian troops enter any city, and you are insisting on letting them in without fight, because they will do that anyway.
