@BCMetisMan ? How would they have done that? Do they somehow block other instances live pages? Our local feed at socialbc remains public.
(Asking generally in a hand-wavy way, not expecting you to answer :))

Well, just to be clear, this only affects people on mastodon.social. People on other instances can still see posts from mastodon.social and can still use their own federated and local timelines to see posts.

@skyfaller @ptvirgo back when it was alive I played around with sugar on different hardware and it wasn't bad: if the project is actually alive and not just on life support it may be worth looking into it
