Something to try though might be Werner - Beinhart!, Das Kleine Arschloch (both animated movies, don't know how they've aged) and Wer Früher Stirbt ist Länger Tot, a bavarian dark-ish comedy (unsure about subtitles or availability for this one)

@Edent works if I manually reload the mastodon web app after it shows up with the "pending" message.

Feels like the mastodon needs to either automatically update when it gets the authorisation to show the quote, or hold off showing it until it receives it.

@Edent define German - Tschugger is a Swiss cop spoof with 3 series and 2 films I think. Netflix has the first 2 seasons with English subtitles. Brilliant! Final series is also there but for some reason without English subs 😥
They're speaking Wallis-Deutsch which is vaguely German but no-one understands. High-German subtitles also recommended ;)

@Edent I really liked "Braunschlag" (somewhat dark Austrian humour) but idk if there are English subtitles for it.

A classic is also "Türkisch für Anfänger" (the series). Wikipedia claims it was shown in 70 countries, so subtitles should exist somewhere.

Otherwise: Bully Herbig movies (Schuh des Manitu, Traumschiff Surprise) are fun parodies, altough you couldn't make these jokes today anymore, so be warned.

I own a small fraction of a % of the Kirk Hill wind farm in Scotland. Once we sort it the mess that was left when Ripple collapsed it'll be a lovely counterbalance to my rooftop PV :)

The short version is that they seem to have overextended themselves, ran out of money and went bust. In doing so they left their cooperatives with unfinished accounts and a whole lot of sorting out to do.

It's all a bit of a mess but the turbines are still spinning, electricity is being sold and hopefully some time in the next 6-12 months we might actually know when the members will next get paid.

@Edent Be aware that both its diel and yearly profile of output is more less reversed in comparison to solar. You would get most of wind energy at evenings, nights and mornings, and in the cold months in the year scale.
