They (EU commission etc) use language to try to "other" European peoples who do not take part in EU project.

They are European borders.
Today, we proposed a strategy to support the EU regions bordering Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine.
Since Russia launched its war of aggression against Ukraine, they have been under growing economic and security pressure.
The strategy helps keep people safe, supports local economies, improves roads, energy and internet connections, and backs communities across these regions.
@EUCommission - Ukraine part of that 'Eastern border' only because the EU (plus UN and NATO) failed to support the country 4 years ago - longer if you consider Crimea - and continues to do so. And 'accidental' incursions into the EU by Russia / Belarus has equally been met with finding an excuse to do nothing.

(Though, yeah, "EU border" would have been a better phrase)
EU is doing a lit of shitty things, but without it we'd have already been in an Europe-wide war decades ago. It's also protecting us from even worse imperialists such as the Russia, the only old colonial empire to still retain 100% of its colonies.

The EU failed Ukraine, but not as badly as the USA and UK who utterly reneged their agreement to protect Ukraine if it gave up nuclear weapons. Lesson learned, never give up your nukes or trust the USA and UK. -

Canadian military in Ukraine to train their military to fight - if not the Russians, who - but bailed (sorry…’withdrew’) from country as Russians amassed on the borders.
Western nations have failed Ukraine - not just militarily, but diplomatically. Current ‘talks’ a stall technique by Russia and US, while others tut-tut in the background. -

@queenofsquiggles i like the way blender geometry nodes handle loops, but it can get messy real fast.

@queenofsquiggles I once made a node graph based audio synthesis setup and needed looping for "polyphony" to play multiple notes at once.
For that I had a begin loop and end loop node that turned 1 path in, into N paths inbetween begin and end.
It was fine for that usage case but I wouldnt rush back to do that again.

In my platform Gigi, I have a subgraph node which lets people make "data defined nodes" or re usable sub graphs. The subgraph node also has an execution count on it, and lets the nodes inside it know the iteration index.
That's my approach, and it isnt the only way, but I dont think anyone has an answer that makes us all say "of course! That's how to do it!"

@ferricoxide @jeffjarvis @bredow That's the point Kagan made in a nutshell, the public are pretty much resigned to wait till they come for them, instead of organising, finding exploiting weak points, arming up, creating security zones, generally preparing for civil war on the streets if need be, instead apathy and resignation reign. Learn from countries that successfully resisted the might of the US in the past and build on that.
