@GeePawHill I do this all the time. I think of it as "fan mail for regular people". I don't know how it affects them but it makes *my* life better. And, hopefully, it shores them up a bit for this world on fire, too.
You may or may not have seen the link I posted recently to an informed & deeply compassionate covid safety statement from a church in Vancouver. I email them to let them know how moved and how seen I felt by it. The pastor emailed me back today and now I'm in tears again.

Finalmente ho visto quello che tanti considerano il #film italiano del 2025. Lo è? Probabilmente sì, per quanto io avrò visto l'1% della produzione autoctona. Almeno non è ambientato su una terrazza romana. A me ha ricordato tanti personaggi che incontravamo la notte (non solo in Veneto) quando andavamo a mangiare dopo aver fatto data. @mar01 Non è un ragionamento è un dato di fatto: per raccogliere firme e partecipare al processo democratico bisogna identificarsi. Nell'iniziativa legslativa promossa dal basso con identificazione elettronica alternativa alla compilazione di moduli cartacei io vedo un progresso democratco, e la conferma empirica è la feroce opposizione con cui i neofascisti al governo vogliono abolire le firme elettroniche e innalzare la quota di firme necessarie per referendum e leggi di iniziativa popolare.
