It's so cool to see European ministers advocate for #digitalsovereignty 🔥
Currently on stage are Germany's and France's Ministers for Digital Affairs, talking about the necessity of funding EU alternatives. Later today our Dutch gov's CIO will talk about the EDIC, a consortium in which we build sovereign digital commons together (like #MijnBureau). The day ends with keynotes from French pres Macron and German Chancellor Merz.

"Open source solutions without infrastructure is a democratic illusion. Right now there's a massive outage at Cloudflare, which means that many website are inaccessible. Last month there have been other outages with similar impact. This is a democratic crisis dressed up as a technical failure."
