then when it's done, type hyfetch.
But to be fair the thing I really enjoy about customising linux, doesn't happen in the terminal.
Look for extensions, applets, and themes in the start menu
Look at hotcorners and workspaces and window tiling.
There's a lot of very immediate things.
I have an extension that burns a window up whenever I close it. It has other effects I recommend it.

press enter, it will prompt you to install something, say yes / give it your soul
after it's done and you're back to the terminal, type:
sl
and press enter

@JenJen Haha don't worry about the terminal until you really need it. I couldn't live without it but some of the kinds of things I like to do work best in the terminal. I use it for running my laser cutter, but I do design in Inkscape. Always be wary of people giving you advice to "just type this into the terminal" - on mint that's almost never needed. On the other hand, it's always there if you decide you DO want to dabble - plenty of people on here will help you learn. Another caution: rum and the terminal don't really mix!
