Instead of a new phone or a new laptop or a new anything, I asked for piano lessons. My wife found an amazing local teacher, and I've been practicing every day on an inherited 1990s-era Clavinova keyboard.
I played an instrument in school but haven't played in decades. Playing again, learning again, that progression from blank stare to hesitant experimentation to competence to mastery โ of even the smallest thing โ Does Not Get Old, Ever.
You only get one precious life. Don't cheat yourself.

Meno male che ieri ho registrato la newsletter. Pronta da una settimana rischiavo che il mal di gola rovinasse tutto per una volta che ero in largo anticipo. Ora posso soffrire in silenzio con la gola che sembra una grattugia.
