The European Union will support digital drivers' licenses for bloc members.
The new digital license can be stored on a phone and will eventually replace physical documents. It is set to roll out by 2030.

@Stavro not so! Apparently there is a region in Turkey that has a long tradition of künefe. Live and learn!

@Stavro when I was leaving, the guy behind the counter told me that knafeh is a *Turkish* delicacy. I made a face like, you have to be fucking joking me. But people all over the Eastern Mediterranean take credit all the time for foods with origins many thousands of kilometers away. So, I figured this was one of those cases.

@Stavro well, let me be the first to report: knafeh is great on fried chicken! It was super crispy, but not too crunchy to eat. We all really enjoyed our meals.

@Stavro I've only known knafeh from knafeh nabulsiyeh, a Palestinian dessert. It has the shredded-wheat-like pastry with sweet cheese inside, pistachios, and honey and rose water.

@Stavro we stopped in on Monday after our workout and picked up supper. We got two big chicken wraps and one waffle bowl (!) full of salad with chicken nuggets on top.

So, @Stavro and I have been walking past this place for the last few weeks. It's on the way to our new gym. I was intrigued by the idea of chicken with knafeh!
