The "Uppers" will say that the good thing about being a servant is "there is less responsibility." That is absolute horseshit. *MEANINGFUL* responsibility is both accountability and consequences. Without accountability, how many lives you impact with your decisions is meaningless. On top of that, often the servants touch lives FAR more directly.

A CEO can utterly screw literally millions of people and waste billions of dollars and get a huge bonus. A department assistant can get fired for not printing a document fast enough for a meeting.

...and the assistant is CONSTANTLY reminded of this fact, both directly and passively....even without that level of threat, assistants know that their departments would collapse without them - there is a huge feeling of responsibility.
