@liskin @vkc Just "yourcompanyname" - I use it for tracking data breaches and/or if they sell their customer list, and if it's breached/sold I block the address at SMTP time and don't use the company again. No need to tack a year on the end!

@vkc @ryanc @stereo4x4 @squalouJenkins honestly I never understood how these even manage to work – like, can't the malicious/spammy business accept the email and just trim off the part after + when sending spam to avoid getting identified? Maybe this trick is just not used widely enough for them to bother...

@vkc I had a company refuse that once, as they seemed to be blocking sign-ups that had their company name anywhere in the address, I guess to prevent employees… what, using their own company?

@whitenight12 @adp @vkc Back in the day we used to set up cypherpunks@ burner e-mails for everybody to use to log into services. I used to set them up on news sites so that nobody would have to use their own address.

-Sort of like using <NPA>-867-5309 for all those annoying coupon clubs.
