Have you ever picked a lock?
edit: a practice lock is any lock that you were picking purely for practice which was not securing anything. a lock in the wild is a lock that was in place to actually secure something (love locks count)
@eniko Have you ever encountered door combination locks using touch screens? They're really practical. You never have to remember the PIN as the fat stains of peoples fingers are there to guide you every time. š

@eniko The door was completely frozen however, so regardless, I did not manage to open it

@eniko picked/bypassed a couple of friends lockers after they lost the keys and picked my own garage gate lock because my key had gotten damaged somehow and wouldn't work. It can be a very useful skill to have even at a lower level like me.

@eniko I guess I agree - when I used to infiltrate buildings, I figured a latch-slipping tool would be less likely to get me arrested than actual lockpicks.

@eniko A coworker gave me a lockpick and a practice lock. I eventually got really good at picking the practice lock, so I decided to try my hand at various locks in the office. One morning, with a bunch of my teammates watching, I tried picking a the lock on a managerās office door, expecting to fail
Not only did I successfully pick the lock, but the lock core came out of the door as I withdrew the tools. I had picked the maintenance key setting. I managed to pick it again, and replace the lock core with a small crowd of people laughing at me
