I stopped using OneDrive, gDrive, and DropBox and switched to @filen

My needs are humble, I only need to sync a couple gigabytes between machines. I still got way more storage than I need, just in case.

IMHO, for the desktop, Filen is way better than other apps if you take the time to configure specific folders to sync.

I only wish the web interface made it easier to download folders to my cellphone.

I'll have to create an account and try this out. I use my #NAS to sync across devices, but having a cloud option is always good.

@afreytes oh interesting, I haven't heard of Filen before; is the web interface a big feature for you? I'm curious what the draw is for Filen / what other things you considered here in this space.

(I'm currently using syncthing for syncing folders between computers/phones, but am using backblaze/restic for automated encrypted backups separately. I'm just always curious what other people are using or need from these sorts of things.)
