I mean, yes…and? When a model’s predictions agree with observations, that’s always interesting — especially when the model was developed before events occurred — and a bunch of domain experts working out the hypotheticals as an RPG is honestly a much better model that some of the BS I’ve heard -

When a model’s predictions agree with observations, that’s always interesting — especially when the model was developed before events occurred — and a bunch of domain experts working out the hypotheticals as an RPG is honestly a much better model that some of the BS I’ve heard@inthehands Ok but elevating "wargame roleplay" to the level of a "model" or "simulation" is... a lot. It has all the rigor of the Game of Thrones writers' room, except the latter probably had a bigger budget.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I take it as “a bunch of people with expertise were just musing about this, and then it happened.” If they want to publish a research paper, I’ll get on them about the rigor. (And again, this really does beat the validity of some of the reasoning that people dress up in quantitative fancy clothes and call rigorous!) -
