@cstross It seems to me like leadership vacuum - which is what happens, when managers are incompetent or disinterested.

@cstross Because now we are beyond any doubt that the people in power are either batshit crazy or grossly incompetent.
Before, we just suspected it.

@jwz There's probably some linguistic uncertainty in there, too! But the article itself highlights a bunch of worrying trends.

@cstross The status quo cannot hold.
No one in a position of power ever expresses an alternative; they are, instead, absolutely committed to maintaining the status quo by any means, up to and including committed genocide on themselves, never mind (generic) you.
There is no law but power, and power wants everyone to die because god won't love them enough.
And since we all need the big machine of society and exchange to run in order to live, it's easy for everyone to die. People have noticed.

I've put off watching "Mr Robot" for many years waiting for it to end, then I forgot about it.
Well, I'm now at the end of S1 and I can say it's pretty awesome.
It's a bit slow and I'm not a huge fan of Rami Malek, but the story, acting, filming are all good.It's also oddly technically meaningful (non-gibberish) for the most part, which I enjoy.
I hope it doesn't fall off a cliff in the next seasons.

defines wint_t as

integer type that can hold any valid wide character and at least one more value
(typedef)»whereas for wchar_t
https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/language/types.html#Character_types
wchar_t — type for wide character representation [...]
so wint_t should never be smaller than wchar_t, if my reading is correct.

Avevo molti dubbi in merito alla tenuta, invece з ragazzз, che generalmente dimostrano avere una soglia dell'attenzione molto bassa, sono rimasti attenti tutto il tempo, posticipando di cinque minuti l'intervallo e, a fine "proiezione", hanno anche applaudito!!!

"Permission to reply" or "Reply not accepted"? Those are two different things. The former would be really nice, but I don't think is likely. The latter is where are today, albeit with patchwork implementation, I think.

We needed to extend a feature: “yo ask the op of the thread instead of me for permission to reply”
Reason:
i make a post marked as “only people I follow”
Then person2 replies in “only people I (person2) follow”
Now, “Mr replyguy who is followed by person2” joins the chat and honors his name

@julia The goal for this FEP is to generalize the GTS approach. Their docs leave a few TBDs and underspec interactions with features that GTS does not have, such as conversation backfilling and context management.
Basically I started with a copy & paste of the GTS document and have been toiling away at potholes. 🙂 (That's why I thought it would be a quick adventure, how naive I was.)
