The problem with quote boosts is that it makes the content on the site worse. It reorients the site from being about ideas and into being reactions. The problem is not even that you will get harassed—although eventually, you will—the problem is *you will start harassing people*, although maybe you'll call it something else, like "dunking". Bluesky's quote feature has strong anti-harassment protections but the site is still wash in dunk culture.

Anyway, if you're going to quote boost, which I don't think you should, remember:
INCORRECT: The "Dunk"— boost something bad and disagree with it— now you're just shoving into our feed something bad we otherwise wouldn't have had to look at
CORRECT: The "Volleyball Spike"— find something good— think of that little extra bit of "yes, and" embellishment that makes it shine— post that.
But this is still more boring than just making a post.
