The hard drive in my long serving 2011 iMac died last night. May it rest in peace.
Day to day I use a newer model but I kept that one going so I could continue to use an old version of Adobe Illustrator.
Software companies like to pretend their products improve over time but that version (CS5?) had far better image trace tools than any of the subsequent ones.
Not quite sure what I will do to vectorise drawings now – perhaps give Affinity a try. Or maybe just get a new HD for the iMac!

@beach Affinity's newly added image trace is pretty solid.
Most of the tine, you're waiting for it to do something before you realise it's already done it, and looks flawless/the same as the original.

@Otttoz Penso che L'Umbertone fosse troppo semplicistico. Io vedo l'umanità come la carrozzeria ammaccata di un auto. Se provi a raddrizzarla da una parte, si assesta malamente da un'altra. E comunque a lavoro finito, anche se tutto sembra in ordine, la carrozzeria non è più quella di prima.
Ecco, ora che l'ho scritta trovo che l'immagine di Eco fosse cmq migliore.

Tempesta senza fine. Il flusso perturbato che da un mese schiaffeggia mezza Europa non solo non si placa, ma è intenzionato addirittura a rilanciare. Tra giovedì e domenica due profonde depressioni atlantiche transiteranno sul vecchio continente coinvolgendo in maniera diretta anche l'Italia. 1/8
